Sherryn Allbright is the envy of her peers. She is a wife, mother, and successful business woman, but her life turns topsy-turvy when a woman leaves a child on her doorstep, claiming her husband is the father. Denial is useless, for the boy resembles Reece too closely not to be his offspring.
Sherryn is ready to end their marriage and blames Reece's problems on his old neighborhood—a Kingston ghetto. If he'd sever ties there, he wouldn't be caught up in baby-mother drama.
When the boy's mother is murdered, Reece becomes the prime suspect and things go haywire for the Allbrights, whose lives will never be the same.

They Know Not What They DoIn Dissolution, Author Campbell takes the reader through the trials of the Albright family.
Maurice ‘Reese’ Albright not only strayed from his marriage vow, but also fathered a child. His indiscretion is one that shook the foundation of his family when the love child was left on his doorstep.
The expected aftermath won't be found here, but prods the reader forward to find out, 'what's next'. The author deftly brought the emotions experienced by each member of this family to skin level. More than that, she set the stage for the reader to possibly view this not so rare occurrence through different lenses.

Dissolution edition by JL Campbell Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
J L Campbell is an excellent writer, and I enjoyed Dissolution from the beginning to the end. I love the language, the plot, and the entire story.
J.L Campbell thank you for taking back home. This is my first book of your and you have kept turning the pages, I read this books in one setting. This book is a must read. It takes you through some real life struggles.
Dissolution by JL Campbell was a great, suspenseful read. I could literally feel the angst in the characters and how one decision Reece, the husband made had ramifications for everyone. I especially loved the colorful language that gave the story authenticity. JL Campbell spins a good tale.

This was my very first read from Ms. J.L Campbell and I truly enjoyed it. She captured the human emotion perfectly. I found it to be extremely realistic considering the circumstances. Sherryn's feelings ran the whole gamut and rightfully so. Some of the other ladies in my book club thought that the book moved a little too slow, but I loved seeing the characters grow--the author did a excellent job of depicting that. I also appreciated the authentic dialect. I was lucky enough to travel to Jamaica once, and I loved the way she infused the feel of the region. Overall, I would recommend this read as well as purchase others from Ms. Campbell.
I read the book and it was well written. The wife bounced back from one of the deepest betrayal by a spouse. He would have had to go--no protection and then the way he treated the son. Maybe he was awful to his son because it reminded him of how he use to be, but he could have changed that by ensuring the boy was taken care of better. I really felt no compassion fro the husband and that caused me to not care for the character. Wife should have left him, but kept little Maurice.
JL Campbell gives us the masterpiece with this one. I love Sherryn for her love, loyalty and faith in her family. She is a woman of great virtue - makes you want to strive to be like her. I especially love the way she treasures her husband and that love spills over unto Maurice, that poor child. I was happy the day his mother left his on their steps - that child would have died soon. I weeped for Maurice and laughed with him. I felt Reeces pain and I loved how he searched himself to find the why's, how he talks with his wife - such a rarity. Love the children who did not reject their sibling but took him under his wings. Wonderful family and awesome book. Kept me mesmerized to the end. Come on book 2
This is my first read by J. L. Campbell, and it will not be my last. Drama in the Allbright family; Sherryn and Reece are married with children. A woman comes to the Allbright house to drop of a small boy that is the son of Reece. Sherryn does not turn the child away, she take him in, because the boy looks so much like her husband. Sherryn is hurt deeply, due to the fact that her husband cheated on her and produced a child. Sherryn notices that Maurice is dirty, neglected, and malnourished. Sherryn is so upset with her husband but she can’t mistreat Maurice. Maurice mother appears to reclaim her son, but Sherryn will not allow it. Reece threatens to harm her if she does not leave Maurice alone. Maurice starts to grow on everyone in the family and they began to love and welcome him into the family. Maurice mother is found unconscious in her apartment, the police questions Recce about his involvement. Awesome job with this book.
